The 2013-14 Top 10 Moments countdown begins on the gridiron as the football team scored a pair of touchdowns in a 150 second span of the fourth quarter to defeat Coppin State University 39-34 in front of over 3,000 on Trades Day.
Jonathan Whelan threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding two touchdowns on the ground to help propel the Builders. His 36-yard connection with Tylee Smith gave the hosts a 32-22 lead with 10:02 left.
Following a blocked Coppin State punt which gave the Builders possession on the Eagles 10, Whelan pushed his way in from the one for a 39-22 lead at the 7:32 mark.
Coppin State had a final flurry as they scored twice in an 80 second span late in the quarter, but missed both two-point conversions for a 39-34 final score.
