The native of Hampton, VA. is in his 12th year as Sports Information Director for the Builders. He came to the school after working for 15 years at The Daily Press in Newport News where he worked on the sports copy desk in charge of compiling the agate page and editing high school sports roundups.

Heath is a 1992 graduate of Christopher Newport University where he was a student Sports Information Director throughout his collegiate days. Upon graduation with an English degree, he worked for two years as the Graduate Assistant Sports Information Director at Old Dominion University. At ODU, he worked with nine sports including the field hockey team that did not lose a game in his two years. After ODU he returned to CNU serving as its first Assistant Sports Information Director for two years before going full-time with the newspaper in 1995.

He is an active member of CoSIDA, Virginia Sports Information Directors Association and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Heath serves as the Sports Information Director for the Atlantic Central Football Conference, the National Collegiate Wrestling Association and as the Media Director for the Virginia Duals. He was named the recipient of the Peninsula Sports Club’s Bob Moskowitz Media Award in 2008.
