HAMPTON, VA. - The Apprentice School banged out 22 hits en route to 27 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Fulton-Montgomery College 11-1 and 16-4 on Monday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium.  Both games were stopped after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

After scoring three in the first of game one, the Builders broke the game open with five runs in the third inning.  Freshman Dory Fields doubled in a run, sophomore James Denny singled in one, junior Eric Polk scored one on a ground out and sophomore Kenny Eanes' two-run single highlighted the outburst.

Apprentice School added a run in the fourth on an Alan Riley sacrifice fly and then scored two in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.  Eanes scored on a passed ball and sophomore Jonathan Dehoux scored Polk with a two-out single to end the game.

Fields was 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and driving in a pair while Dehoux was 2-for-3 with two runs scored to lead the Builders in game one.  Junior Joe Tugwell went five innings to pick up his second win of the year striking out five and allowing four hits.
