Dehoux Named Second Team Academic All-District By College Sports Information Directors Association

Apprentice School junior first baseman Jonathan Dehoux was named on Thursday to the Second Team District III Academic All-District team by the College Sports Information Directors Association of America. This marks the fifth Builder to be named to the Academic All-District teams since 2004.
The team includes all non NCAA Division I schools from Virginia to Florida. You must be a significant contributor to your team and be at least a sophomore at your school with a 3.2 grade point average or higher to be eligible.
Dehoux has a 3.4 grade point average as a maintenance electrician apprentice. The Mathews native currently leads the USCAA in hits (71), RBIs (65) and shares the lead in home runs (10) along with being in the top ten in batting average, slugging percentage and runs scored. He is two hits away from breaking his school single season hits record of 72 from last season.
The Apprentice School is the #1-seed for the upcoming USCAA Baseball Nationals starting on Tuesday at War Memorial Stadium. The Builders will face the winner of fourth-seeded Columbia Union College and fifth-seeded University of Cincinnati Clermont at 7:30 pm at War Memorial Stadium. Tickets for the event are $10 per day and $30 for a tournament pass.
