Four Baseball Builders Earn Postseason USCAA Honors

Four Apprentice School baseball players were honored on Monday night in the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association pre-tournament banquet held at War Memorial Stadium.

Senior Kyle Center came away with two pieces of hardware earning USCAA All-Academic Team and All-American honors. The Gloucester, Va. native finished the regular season with a .342 batting average, 50 hits and is now a three-time USCAA All-American.
Junior Jonathan Dehoux earned his second consecutive USCAA All-American selection. The Mathews, Va. native leads the USCAA in hits (71), RBI (65) and shares the lead in home runs with 10.
Senior J.D. Drewry was named to the All-American team for the first time. The Yorktown, Va. native is second on the Builders with a .386 average, second in hits (56), and leads in triples with three.
Senior Bryce Beale was named to the Honorable Mention team. The Windsor, Va. native is third on the team in hitting with a .372 average, third in hits with 55 and in RBI with 26.
The Apprentice School will open play in the USCAA Nationals on Tuesday night with a 7:30 pm start against the winner of Columbia Union College and University of Cincinnati-Clermont. Tickets are $10 per day and $25 for a tournament pass.
