Two Builders named ACFC Players of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, VA. - Apprentice School senior wide receiver Travis Reid and freshman linebacker Desmond Isaac were named Atlantic Central Football Conference Offensive and Rookie of the Week for their performances in the week ending October 6.

Reid, from Goose Creek, SC, caught a career-high 10 passes for 163 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Builders defeated Morrisville State 50-21.  His 10 receptions were one away from the modern-era record for a single game and puts him five receptions from the school career record of 138. The touchdown catches of 16 and 39 yards were in the second quarter.

In making his first collegiate start, Isaac from St. Stephen, SC, shared the team lead with seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assisted) with a half-tackle for loss as the starting middle linebacker.

Apprentice School is back at home this Saturday facing 10th-ranked Wesley College starting at 1 pm.
