Builders face 10^th-ranked Wesley College

Apprentice School enters the game after defeating Morrisville State 50-21 in front of over 5,600 fans last weekend. ... Builder senior WR Travis Reid is now five receptions from the school career, modern-era record of 138 after his career-high 10 catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns against Morrisville. ...He needs 210 yards to break the career yardage record of 2.544 by Andre Ross. ... Senior QB Kyle Franklin is now tied for second place on the career, modern-era touchdown list with 24 after his two TD passes to Reid. ... His 199 yards put him into fourth place on the career, modern-era yardage list with 2,485. He is 15 completions from fourth place in the career completions list as he now has 203. ... Senior DB Franako Smith took the lead over fellow senior Tony Scott for the modern era record in career interceptions with his 13 th against Morrisville State. ... Touchdown Travis

Senior Travis Reid has one record down and is approaching a couple more of modern era (1985-present) career records in receptions for the Builders. His touchdown total now stands at 24 after scoring receptions against Frostburg State, Emory & Henry and his two against Morrisville. He shared the TD record with Andre Ross (1991-94) since the end of the 2006 season. Ross holds the career reception yards mark of 2,544 and Reid is 210 yards away from breaking that record. Reid, a Goose Creek, SC native had 48 receptions for 798 yards and seven touchdowns in 2006 when he was named first team All-ACFC. He became the third Builder receiver in the last 25 years to have 100 or more receptions with his four receptions in the opener with Fairmont State. He also became the second receiver in the last 25 years to have over 2,000 yards in receptions after his performance against Emory & Henry. Reid has 134 receptions (4 away from Ross' record) for 2,335 yards in his career.

Senior Kyle Franklin through the first four games is just ahead of his career completion percentage at 53.3% (56-of-105). In his career he is third in completion percentage in school (modern-era) history at 51.6%. Franklin is tied for second in career touchdown passes with 24 and he's tied with Terrance Patrick who threw 24 from 1999-2002. Franklin is currently fourth in the modern era in career passing yards with 2,485.

Builder Block Party

Last year the Builders special teams were truly special as they blocked six punts returning four of them for touchdowns and one for a safety. Senior Tony Scott had three of those blocks and started 2007 off with another one in the scrimmage game against Guilford College. Scott blocked his way into the 2007 season with a punt block in each of the first three games. His block against Frostburg was returned by Lawrence Frost for the game-clinching touchdown, while his block against Emory & Henry was returned by Joe Bruce for the final score. Scott now has 11 for his career which is a school record.

Pickoffs

Approaching the midway point of their senior seasons, Tony Scott and Franako Smith are battling for the career interception record. Scott garnered his 11^th pick in the home victory over Frostburg State on September 8 to take the record. Smith answered with his 11^th pick at Emory & Henry on September 22. In the 50-21 victory over Morrisville State on October 6, Smith took the lead with his two-interception performance raising his total now to 13.
