Builders end ACFC slate with SUNY Brockport

The Apprentice School faces Atlantic Central Football Conference rival SUNY Brockport to start the final homestand of 2007. ... The Golden Eagles lead the series 2-1 after Apprentice School scored a 31-18 victory in Brockport last November. ... This marks the final meeting between these teams as Brockport will leave the ACFC after this year to compete in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. ... In last year's meeting the Builders jumped out to a 31-3 advantage behind a fumble return for a touchdown by Quentin Forbes, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by Joe Bruce and two Kyle Franklin touchdown passes.

Senior WR Travis Reid broke the school single season touchdown record with his three scores against Southern Virginia last week.  Those raised his total to 10 touchdowns this year.  Sophomore RB Sam Arnold became the first Apprentice School running back in the 87-year history of football at the school to run for 200 yards in consecutive games.  He ran the ball 43 times for 249 yards and a touchdown in the 45-14 win over Southern Virginia.  Those marks are Apprentice School records, while the 43 carries broke the ACFC record for carries in a game.

Apprentice School has been very stingy with the ball thus far having only turned the ball over twice (one interception and one fumble). ... The one interception and one fumble are the lowest totals through October in Division III along with the two total turnovers.
