Jonathon Gladden named to USCAA National All-Academic Team

Senior Jonathon Gladden earned more academic honors on Friday as he was named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National All-Academic Team.

The USCAA, which is the national association that the Apprentice School belongs to, selected a National All-Academic Team from sports that are not recognized by the USCAA.  Only three of the over 50 members of the association sponsor football.

To be named to the team a student-athlete had to hold a 3.5 or greater grade point average and be a significant contributor.  Gladden was earlier named to the first team Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors Association.

He is a native of Charlotte, NC and is a electrician apprentice.
