•The Apprentice School faces the second of four nationally-ranked opponents for homecoming.  

•This is the first game for Apprentice School head coach Michael Vite after serving the last two years as the defensive coordinator at Guilford College.

•Apprentice School is 5-3 in season openers over the last eight years.  

•Last week's cancellation against Malone was the first since September of 2003 when the Builders contest against Averett University was cancelled due to the aftermath of Hurricane Isabel.
