Caralla, Ohia Named ACFC Players Of The Week

Junior quarterback/punter Phil Caralla and freshman linebacker Mana Ohia were honored by the Atlantic Central Football Conference office on Monday as Special Teams and Rookie of the Week for their efforts in Saturday's 23-21 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham.

Caralla, a Tarpon Springs, Fla. native and an outside machinist apprentice, punted five times in the game and averaged 44.8 yards per punt.  Three of his kicks pinned the Devils inside their 20 and one was a touchback.  One punt went 55 yards which missed his career long punt by one yard.

Ohia, a Honolulu, Hawai'i native and a maintenance electrician apprentice, had a season high seven tackles, two tackles for a loss of eight yards, one sack for a loss of five yards and blocked an extra-point attempt in the fourth quarter.

The Builders (1-2) return home this Saturday to face 17th-ranked Salisbury University in the ACFC opener for both teams.  Game time is 1:30 pm.
