Drayton, Norwood Named ACFC Players Of The Week

The Atlantic Central Football Conference office announced its week six ACFC Players Of The Week on Monday and two Apprentice School players were honored.

Senior linebacker Jeremy Drayton was named Defensive Player Of The Week after recording 11 tackles, nine solo, and one tackle for a loss as the Builders fell 36-3 to NCAA Division II Lake Erie College.  The pipefitter apprentice leads the team in tackles with 36.

Freshman Louis Norwood became the third Apprentice School player in the last nine years to block multiple kicks in a game as he swatted two Lake Erie extra-point attempts in Saturday's game to earn Special Teams Player Of The Week honors.  The welder apprentice from Baker, La. also picked off a pass and had three tackles.

Apprentice School returns to the home field on Saturday to face NCAA Division III fifth-ranked Wesley College at 1 pm for Homecoming.
