What a stretch of Apprentice School athletics! Four Builder sports teams will see action over the next three days starting on Thursday night when the men's basketball team opens in the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Shootout in Elizabeth City, NC.
The men's basketball team opens its season on Thursday night when they participate in the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Shootout in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Over the next three days, they'll face three first-time opponents. Thursday they'll take on the host Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs (1-3) at 6 pm. On Friday night they'll face Davis College (NY) Falcons also at 6 pm. They'll conclude the tournament by facing Florida Christian College Suns (0-2) at 3 pm.
The women's basketball team opens its season on Friday night when they travel to Titusville, PA and face the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville (0-2) in a 6 pm tip. This marks the second time these teams have played with the Lady Builders winning the prior meeting 72-39 to start the 2009-10 season at Penn State Beaver.
On Saturday, they'll be in Williamsport, PA to face Penn College of Technology in a 1 pm tip. This will be the first-ever meeting between the schools. Saturday's game will be available on the internet via ESPN Williamsport radio.
The football team will conclude its season on November 12 when they face Webber International University in Babson Park, Fla.
These teams faced off last year in the season finale - 2010 Oyster Bowl -- and Webber came away with a 40-7 victory. The Warriors lead the series 3-0.
Apprentice School (2-7) enters the contest after losing 36-8 to LaGrange College last week, while Webber International (3-6) comes in winning three of its last four games and defeating Southern Virginia 63-6 last Saturday.

For the third year in a row, the Builders will travel to Scranton, PA and participate on November 12 in the Electric City Duals hosted by the University of Scranton.
