Now that pre-season camp is finished, it's time to look at the 2012 Apprentice School football schedule. Two opponents per day will be previewed, in reverse order, culminating with Friday's preview of the 2012 opener against Muhlenberg College on September 1.
Webber International University
November 10 - 1 pm
Of Note: A road-weary squad Webber squad will end its season in Newport News as they'll play games in California, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi this year.
November 3 - 1 pm
Of Note: No one will face a top-heavy schedule as the Wolverines in 2012. After an opener at East Texas Baptist, Wesley will face pre-season #7 Salisbury, #4 Mary Hardin-Baylor, a first-ever trip to Louisiana College and then #24-Birmingham Southern in a four-week span.
Alfred State College
Oct. 27 – 1 pm
Of Note: Alfred State is in the process of transitioning from a junior college to NCAA Division III status. They follow our game with a matchup against USCAA rival Southern Virginia University. This is a rematch of the 2010 opener where the Pioneers won 22-7.
Oct. 20 - 1 pm
Ram Field - Valley, AL.
Of Note: The Skyhawks are a first-year varsity program that will play a mixture of NAIA, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and USCAA opponents.
Southern Virginia University

Salem Stadium - Salem, VA.
Of Note: Southern Virginia is in the process of transitioning to NCAA Division III membership and will join the Capital Athletic Conference for all sports starting in 2013-14.
September 29 - 1 pm

Sept. 22 - 5 pm
Of Note: This marks the first visit to Gallaudet since 2002 when the Builders scored a 23-5 victory during Phil Janaro's first season. The Bison are pre-season picked third in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference.
Sept. 15 - 1 pm
Of Note: This is the first visit to Greensboro since 2003 when the Builders lost 20-0 to the Pride. Greensboro is pre-season picked eighth in the USA South Athletic Conference.
Coppin State University
Sept. 8 - 2 pm
Of Note: This is the first-ever football meeting with Coppin State University. The baseball teams have played in 1990 and 1991 with the Builders winning all three meetings.
Sept. 1 - 1 pm
Of Note: First-ever football meeting with Muhlenberg. The Mules were pre-season picked third in the Centennial Conference after finishing second last year to Johns Hopkins. Muhlenberg returns two starters on defense but seven on offense including fourth-leading rusher in school history Terrence Dandridge. They are a post-season experienced team as they've been to the NCAA Tournament three times in the last five years - all ending in losses to upcoming opponent Wesley College.
