Three Builders Named To USA College Football Preseason All-American Teams

Seniors Izhia Roundtree, Marlon Lane and Brock Bullock were recently named to one of the 2013 USA College Football Small College Preseason All-American teams.  Roundtree was a second team selection at linebacker and Lane was named to the third team at defensive back, while Bullock earned honorable mention honors at linebacker.

The 2013 USA College Football Small College Preseason All-American teams were nominated by coaches, sports information directors, pro scouts, media and USA College Football staff.  Its small college listing consisted of schools from all non-NCAA levels.

Roundtree is an all-purpose player who has seen action at tailback, receiver, on special teams and now has moved to the defensive side of the ball.  As a junior he was second on the team in tackles (68), while recording 6.5 tackles for a loss and two fumble recoveries.

Lane has been a mainstay in the defensive backfield throughout his career.  His 2012 season was cut short due to injury, but he managed a blocked kick, fumble recovery for touchdown and 10 tackles in two games.  He is ranked in the career top ten in blocked kicks, pass breakups, and interceptions among many others.

Bullock is a three-year standout linebacker who will anchor the defense in his final season.  He topped the team as a junior in tackles (74) and was second in tackles for a loss (9).  Bullock had 12 tackles against #5-Wesley and 10 tackles against Greensboro College as a junior.

The Apprentice School opens its 95th football season on September 7 when they travel to Allentown, PA.  to face Muhlenberg College at 1 pm.
