Bullock Named USCAA Defensive Player Of The Week

Apprentice School senior linebacker Brock Bullock was named on Tuesday as the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 19.

In a 34-7 loss at Southern Virginia University, Bullock broke a 23-yaear old school record for tackles in a game as he had 24.  The previous record was held by Steve Sobczak with 21 against Salisbury University in 1990.

Bullock, an electrician apprentice, leads the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association in tackles with 90.  His 90 ranks him sixth on the single-season tackles list and within range of the record of 109 held by Sobczak in 1991.

The Builders return home on Saturday for Chili Cook-off/Tailgate Day as the Apprentice School takes on Edward Waters College in a 1 pm kickoff.
