The post-season awards grew by one for senior linebacker Brock Bullock over the Christmas holidays as the Roanoke Times named him to the first team All-State College Division team on its list announced on Christmas night.
Bullock, an electrician apprentice from Stafford, VA., topped the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association in tackles with 142 en route to winning first team All-USCAA honors. He set school single-game (24 v. Southern Virginia), season (142) and career (307) tackle records. He was a finalist for the Lanier Award presented to the top non-NCAA Division I player in Virginia by the Touchdown Club of Richmond and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
In the classroom, he was named to the first team Capital One Academic All-America® College Division football squad as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). That made him the third Apprentice School athlete to earn Academic All-America ® honors by CoSIDA. The college division encompasses NAIA, USCAA, two-year and independent schools.
