BASEBALL

• The Builders defeated Rappahannock CC 6-2 in its only home game of the week on Monday.
• Over the weekend at the Penn State Beaver Round Robin, the Builders went 1-2 defeating Rochester College 7-0 and falling twice to Penn State Beaver - 5-3 in eight innings on Saturday and 9-8 on Sunday.
• This week's only game is against cross-water rival Virginia Wesleyan College.  This marks the first meeting with the Marlins since 1996.  Apprentice School is 3-7 against the Marlins since 1990.
• For the week, junior JD Drewry had the best batting average going 8-for-16 (.500) with four doubles and three RBIs. 
• Next in line was sophomore Jonathan Dehoux with a .467 average (7-of-15) with three doubles, a triple and three RBIs.
• Against Rochester, senior Joe Tugwell threw a complete-game two-hit shutout.  His six strikeouts in the game matched a season-high he had against Virginia State.
• Tugwell also picked up the win on Monday throwing four innings of three-hit relief in the victory over Rappahannock.  He has allowed one run in his last 16 innings of work.
