If you are ready for March Madness the Apprentice School has a warmup for you in the Great Ships Postseason Tournament starting Friday morning at 8 am.
13 games over three days will be held in the Apprentice School gymnasium crowning three champions in the event.
The first game will be at 8 am Friday in the USS Enterprise Women's Division as Rhema Bible College (Okla.) faces Knoxville (Tenn.) College. The men's teams from those schools will face off at 10:30 am in the opening round of the USS Nimitz Men's Division.
At 1 pm will be the first matchup in the USS George Washington Men's Division as Robert Morris-Springfield (Ill.) will face the Knights of Southern Virginia University. The Knights have won seven in a row heading into a contest tonight with Ohio State-Marion.
Following that game at 3:30 pm will be the other USS George Washington first round matchup between Chowan University and Williamson Trade School (Pa.). Williamson Trade has been ranked number one in the USCAA Men's Division II poll all year and sports a 21-1 record, while Chowan University has won five in a row and are preparing for the National Christian College Athletic Association regionals.
The Apprentice School will take to the court on Friday night at 6 pm as the Lady Builders will face Robert Morris-Springfield in the final USS Enterprise Women's Division first-round matchup. Both teams are highly-seeded for the upcoming USCAA Nationals starting on Tuesday in Uniontown, Pa. This could potentially be a national title game preview as Robert Morris-Springfield is seeded number one, while the host Lady Builders are seeded third.
The nightcap of day one will bring out the Apprentice School men's team as they conclude USS Nimitz Men's Division play against Ohio State-Marion. This is the first-ever matchup with the Wave as the Builders look to continue their strong play as of late.
