Busy Apprentice School Weekend Kicks Off With Men's Hoops
This is a big weekend for Apprentice School athletics as the football, men's and women's basketball and wrestling teams compete.
FOOTBALL
Home vs. Southern Virginia University
Saturday, 1 pm - 59th annual Oyster Bowl
This is the sixth meeting between the schools, but the first under the Oyster Bowl. Apprentice School leads the series 5-0 and have won the last two games 32-0 and 45-14.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tonight vs. Hesser College (N.H.), 7 pm
Saturday vs. Central Maine CC, 6 pm at Seawolves Invitational
Sunday at Southern Maine CC, 1 pm in Seawolves Invitational
This weekend the men travel to the northeast where they'll face three U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association teams. This marks the first ever meeting with Hesser, while the Builders are 2-0 all-time against Central Maine and Southern Maine.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Saturday at St. Andrew's Presbyterian, 2 pm
Live Stats (will be active by 1:55 pm on Saturday)
This marks the second-ever meeting with the Knights. Apprentice School defeated St. Andrews 82-60 to start the 2000-01 season. Three of the top four scorers return for the Lady Builders.
WRESTLING
Sunday at Ursinus Fall Brawl
This is the first trip to Pennsylvania for the Builders where they'll face top-flight NCAA Division III teams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
