Buddy Denton Honored At Peninsula Sports Club Spring Coaches Night

The Peninsula Sports Club honored Apprentice School Assistant Baseball Coach Buddy Denton on Wednesday night with a Milestone Award at its Spring Coaches Night.

Denton, a longtime fixture in the baseball scene in Hampton Roads, was recognized for his work at Kecoughtan High School as well as his ten years coaching with Builder head coach Bryan Cave.

Cave, who presented Denton at the ceremony, played for him at Kecoughtan High School as well as coached with him in various summer leagues.  Denton joined the Builder coaching staff in 2000 serving as pitching coach for eight years and now is in his second year as the hitting coach.
