Builders Finish 11th In VaSID All-Sports Survey
NEWPORT NEWS, VA. – June 18, 2010 – The Apprentice School athletic teams won 54.9% of their contests in the 2009-10 season and finished 11th in the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association College Division All-Sports Survey. All 27 non-NCAA Division I schools in the state of Virginia were ranked by winning percentages overall, by men's teams winning percentage and women's teams winning percentage.
Builder athletic teams went 67-56 on the year to make the ninth year in the last 10 that they have won over 50% of their contests. It also marks the tenth straight year they've finished in the top half of the survey.
Christopher Newport University won the overall survey winning 72% of its contests and also won the women's survey winning 80.2% of its contests. Hampden-Sydney College won the men's survey winning 70.7% of its contests.
