MURFREESBORO, NC - A 7-0 start by the host Hawks set the tempo
for the game as Apprentice School could never catch up in losing
85-74 to Chowan on Saturday afternoon at the Jesse Helms Center.
Sophomore Eric Joe scored 21 of his season-high 26 points in the
second half as the Builders could never get the lead under double
figures in the second half. The lead fluctuated from 10 to 17
points throughout the half, but everytime the Builders cut it to
near single digits the Hawks pushed the lead further away.
Sophomore Antione Paige added 17 points and fellow sophomore
Jason Arrington scored 13 as the Builders fell to 11-9 on the
year. Raul Tutelea scored 26 to lead Chowan (8-11).
These teams meet again at Apprentice School on February 7.
