LOMPOC, CALIF. - Senior BJ Maben is currently tied for ninth as
the Apprentice School is in tenth after two rounds of the Cal
Lutheran Kingsmen Invitational at LaPurisima Golf Course on Monday.
Maben shot a 73 in the first round and an 83 in the second round
on the 7,105-yard course that was ranked as the third hardest
course in California and the 33rd hardest course in the
United States by Golf Digest Magazine. He is nine strokes
behind the co-medalists after day one.
Junior Steven Ness is the next lowest for the Builders with a
168 total on Monday after an 89 on the first round and a 79 in the
second round. Fellow junior Brandon Rudisill was one stroke
behind with a 169 after an 85 and 84 on Monday.
The final round will begin at 11 am EST with a shotgun start.
