LOMPOC, CALIF. -- The Apprentice School golf team concluded its
first-ever tournament in California by coming in 11th out of 14
teams with a 1,003 total in the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen Invitational
at LaPurisima Golf Course.
Senior BJ Maben was tied for 21st in the tournament to lead the
Builders with a 239. Junior Chris Everett was the next lowest
scorer for the Builders with a team-low 78 on Tuesday for a 252
total. Fellow junior Steven Ness was third for the Builders
with a 254 total.
The University of Redlands won the team title with a final day
307 for a 924 total. That was five strokes lower than
University of LaVerne who had the lowest round of the tournament
with a final day 301 for a 929.
