HAMPTON, VA. - Junior Brandon Rudisill (Gloucester, Va.) shot a
career-best of one-under-par 68 to help lead the Apprentice School
to a convincing 288-330 dual match win over Southern Virginia
University at The Woodlands in Hampton on Friday afternoon.
Rudisill's round over the par-69 course, started with a 30 on
the front nine with six birdies including a stretch of five in a
row. Next in line was junior Chris Everett (Carrollton, Va.)
with a two-over-par 71 and sophomore Ryan Sweet (Hampton, Va.) with
a 73.
"He got on a good run today and ended up with a great score,"
said Apprentice School coach John Maxey on Rudisill's low
round. "That's his first ever medalist honor and his run on
the front side got him going."
The Builders will return to action on October 7-8 at the
Southern Virginia University Fall Invitational.
