Builders sit ninth after day one of Va. States
SUFFOLK, VA. - The Apprentice School golf team currently sits in ninth place after day one of the 2007 Virginia Intercollegiate Championships held at Nansemond River Golf Course in Suffolk.
Apprentice School shot a 319 to trail leader Bridgewater College who shot a 291. The Builders are three shots out of fifth place as a cluster of teams behind Roanoke (316), Lynchburg and Randolph-Macon B (317) and Virginia Wesleyan (318).
Senior BJ Maben in in a four-way tie for second place individually with an even-par 72 to lead the Apprentice School on Sunday. Junior Brandon Rudisill is next in line with a 77.
The final round will start on Monday at 8 am.
