Golf Finishes Eighth In Marlin Invitational
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - On a day more suited for ducks than golfers, the Apprentice School finished eighth in the Virginia Wesleyan College Marlin Invitational at Virginia Beach National. Sunday's second round was cancelled due to the torrential rains in the Hampton Roads area.
Randolph-Macon College leads the event with a 317 total, followed by Christopher Newport University A team with 324. Apprentice School tallied a 369 total on a long and very wet course throughout an all day rain in Virginia Beach.
Sophomore Ryan Sweet is the low man for the Builders with an 88 after round one. The tournament was rained out on Sunday.
