Builders Finish Seventh In Glenn Heath Memorial Shipbuilders Tournament

TOURNAMENT STATS

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Apprentice School golf team chopped 12 strokes off its Monday total in Tuesday's final round of the Glenn Heath Memorial Shipbuilders Tournament and finished in seventh place at Fords Colony's Marsh Hawk Course.

Lynchburg College won the event with an impressive 303 total on Tuesday over a very blustery 6,650-yard course for a two-day score of 616.  First-round leader Randolph-Macon gained eight strokes on Tuesday for a 315 round and a 622 total.  Pitt Community College and Roanoke College tied for third with two-day total of 640 apiece.  Apprentice School shot a 356 on Tuesday for a tournament total of 724.

Sophomore Daniel Campbell was the low man for the Builders with a two-day total of 170 to finish in a tie for 27th.  Freshman Kyle Radcliff was next with the low round of the day for the Builders with an 86 to finish 30th with a 178.

Next up for the Builders will be their final event of the season in Danville, Va. in the Danville Community College Invitational on May 1.
