Golf Team Finishes 12th At Virginia State Intercollegiate
ASHLAND, VA. - The Apprentice School golf team took their lumps on a tricky Hanover Country Club course and finished 12th in the Virginia State Intercollegiate Championships in Ashland.
Freshman Chris Martin was the low man for the Builders in the event finishing in a tie for 24th place with a two-day total of 162 (80-82). The next lowest was Steven Ness with a 166 (85-81) to be in a tie for 33rd.
Bridgewater College won the event with a 619 total (318-301) to win by 10 strokes over Roanoke College (318-311-629). Apprentice School carded 338-339 for a 677 total.
The last event on the fall slate will be October 19-20 in the Iron Team Clash at Louisburg College in Louisburg, N.C.
