Golf Team Defeats Shenandoah 9.5-5.5 In Dual Match

FRONT ROYAL, VA. -- The Apprentice School golf team took on Shenandoah University in a dual match on Saturday afternoon and defeated the Hornets 9.5-5.5 at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Course.

Each individual match was worth three points - one for the front nine, one for the back nine and one for the total score.

Daniel Campbell was the medalist in the event with a five-over-par-77 and won his match defeating Josh Wiegand 2-1.  Wiegand was second overall with a 79.

Nick Carlson and Blake Henger also won their matches 2-1, while Kyle Center took his match 2.5-0.5.  Mike Hastings, who shot an 82 to tie for third individually, lost 2-1 to David Rynecki.

The Builders will close out the spring season on April 17 at the Danville CC Invitational in Danville, Va.
