Coming in third on the 2012-13 Apprentice School Athletics Top 10 Games list is a record book erasing start to the golf season.
The golf team finished in the top four in five events, including a pair of second place finishes and a third place at the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial. On the way, the golfers found a few spots in the record books to erase.
In a span of about three weeks, they took care of several spots in the record books. On August 29, Ben Hunter broke the school mark for lowest round with a 67 in a dual with Louisburg College. In the Tom Kinder Memorial on September 16-17, the Builders put together a pair of 306 rounds for a school-best tournament score 612. Also at that event, Kyle Mutter broke the individual tournament record as he was one-under-par at 143 to finish in a share of fourth.
Be on the lookout Monday for number two in our countdown.
