Hunter Shares Fourth Place After Two Rounds Of PGA Minority Collegiate Championship

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL. – Apprentice School senior golfer Ben Hunter dropped four shots off his Friday first round as he came in with a three-over-par 75 to sit tied for fourth after two days of the PGA Minority Collegiate Championships at the PGA Wanamaker Course on Saturday.

Hunter, who currently is at 154 and in a tie for fourth place, is nine shots off the leader Justin Watkins from NCAA Division II University of Central Oklahoma.  Watkins blistered the course today coming in at three-under par 69.

On the second hole, playing at 430 yards, Hunter eagled it hitting a driver and then a pitching wedge to within 10 feet before sinking the putt.  He did have three birdies on the day.  Hunter trails a pair of NCAA Division II golfers and one from NCAA Division I.  He is the low non-scholarship golfer in the field after two rounds.

The final round will tee off around 11:30 am on Sunday morning.
