Lady Builders Season Ends With 75-51 Loss At UDC
WASHINGTON, DC -- The Apprentice School women's basketball season came to an end on Sunday at the UDC Sports Complex as the Lady Builders fell 75-51 to the host University of District of Columbia.
Senior Shameka Warren had a team-high 14 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Jasmine Pringle added 11 points and sophomore Ashley Johnson chipped in 10 points for the Apprentice School (9-14).
The Lady Builders opened the game on an 11-2 run in the first four minutes on an Ashley Johnson 3-pointer with 16:04 left. Apprentice School held the lead for most of the first half as UDC (13-13) took its first advantage on a Jasmine Rich 3-pointer with 5:29 left to lead 26-25. From there they closed the half on a 14-4 run to take a 40-29 lead into the locker room.
In the second half, UDC pushed the lead to as much as 25 points before settling for the 75-51 win. Nicole Cooper paced UDC with 19 points and Lillian McGill added 13 points and 17 rebounds.
