December Opens With Home Doubleheader

The Lady Builders and Builders start the final month of 2013 facing U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association rivals St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) in a doubleheader at Apprentice Athletic Center.

In the noon opener, the Lady Builders face the Lady Bears in a matchup of long-time USCAA opponents.  Apprentice School holds an 11-3 lead in the all-time series and lost last year's matchup 74-63 in Brooklyn which snapped an eight-game winning streak in the series.

St. Joseph's comes in after losing to Southern Virginia 67-61 in overtime yesterday and sports a 3-3 record.  The Lady Builders are 4-0 after winning a pair of games in the Great Ships Classic on November 22-23.

At 2pm, the men's teams will face off in the second all-time matchup between the teams.  Last year, St. Joseph's scored a 64-61 win in Brooklyn holding off a late Apprentice School rally.

The Bears are 3-3 after losing to Southern Virginia 69-54 on Saturday.  Apprentice School is 5-2 after falling to NCAA Division III 13th-ranked Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday.
