Apprentice School wrestling senior Matt Perry was presented an award on Wednesday after winning his 100th career match on February 6 in Athens, Ga.
Perry became the third Builder wrestler in the last 20 years to win over 100 career matches as he went 4-0 in the Classic City Tournament at the University of Georgia. He currently has 104 wins to rank second in the modern era of Apprentice School wrestling.
The Chesapeake, Va. native is a two-time National Collegiate Wrestling Association All-American having finished seventh as a freshman in 2007 at 149 pounds and he took eighth last year also at 149.
Presenting him his award at the start of practice today was Assistant Athletic Director Robert Lewis.
