Wrestlers Sit Eighth After One Session Of NCWA Nationals

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. -- The Apprentice School wrestling team has three wrestlers into the quarterfinal round of the 2012 National Collegiate Wrestling Association National Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla. after Thursday's early second round.

Junior Ty Ford (125) won a pair of decisions, while senior Marcus Chevres (133) won a pair of matches by fall and freshman Sterling Briscoe (141) won a pair of decisions to advance.  Freshman Ian Jones (285) won both of his opening matches by fall to advance to the quarterfinals.

Apprentice School sat in seventh place after day one trailing overall leader Notre Dame College (Oh.).
