Gray, a senior insulator apprentice from Pittsburgh, PA, went 3-0 last weekend in his first action in a month after returning from injury. He started his weekend winning at 235 pounds in a dual match against Penn State DuBois by a fall in 2:55.
On Saturday, he won a pair of matches to claim the 235 pound bracket at the USCAA National Invitational hosted at Penn State University. Both matches were by fall in the first period winning in 53 seconds and the final in 1:47. The tournament title was the first in his career. For the year, Gray is 18-7 with 11 wins by fall.
The Builders are now off until March 2 when they compete in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
