The 2014-15 Apprentice School Wrestling schedule will definitely provide a different look for the Builders as they could participate in nearly 30 dual matches before Valentine's Day weekend in the schedule announced by Head Coach Bruce Shumaker today.
They'll open the season at a new event on November 1 as they'll participate in the Penn State Mont Alto Dual Tournament where they would have at least five matches against the hosts, Penn State Greater Allegheny, West Virginia Tech, and the club teams from the University of Pittsburgh and East Tennessee State University.
The following weekend they'll make their annual trek to Scranton, PA for the University of Scranton Electric City Duals where they will face the host Royals along with Penn College, Penn State DuBois and the club team from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
A two-day swing in Arlington, Texas will conclude November as they'll participate in a dual match night at the University of Texas-Arlington on November 21 and then participate in the Southwest Open on November 22.
December will be a short month schedule wise as they'll start in the York College New Standard Corporation Invitational on December 6. The next weekend they'll have another three-dual day when they participate in the UMBC Retriever Duals in Baltimore, Md. on December 13.
The 2015 portion of their schedule starts at the always loaded Waynesburg University Invitational on January 3 before the annual Virginia Duals on January 9-10 at the Hampton Coliseum. This year, the American Division of the Virginia Duals will feature Anderson University, Ferrum College, Liberty University, Limestone College, UNC Pembroke, Wheeling Jesuit University and Nassau Community College along with the Builders.
On January 17, the Builders will host their annual Builder Invitational tentatively scheduled for Woodside High School at 9:30 am. The next weekend, the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) National Duals will take place in Dalton, Georgia as the Builders look to improve on last year's fourth-place finish.
February will start off with the second annual Builder Duals on February 1 as the Builders will host Penn State Mont Alto along with the club teams from James Madison University, VMI, Longwood University and East Carolina University. Two weeks later, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) will host the USCAA Invitational Duals and National Invitational at Penn State University.
Post-season competition will begin on February 28 when the Builders compete in the NCWA Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships at Liberty University. That serves as a qualifier for the NCWA Nationals from March 12-14 in Allen, Texas.
